Top 5 Mech Board Games
113Through a lot of recent media, be it TV, movies, books, or whatever, humanity seems to have a fascination with giant robots. Gaming has not escaped this obsession, and there's a LOT of solid choices to pick from in the realm. Let's take a look at my personal favorites!
The last decade or so in particular has seen a lot of growth in giant robot franchises. They're big, shiny, create destruction wherever they go, and generally make audiences shout "YEEEEAAAAA!!!". Mechs have been around games for nearly as long as there have been games, with a lot of interpretations, particularly with regard to scale. The mechanics of making individual bots feel unique is something heavily explored, as well.
That said, I wanted to share my personal favorite mech-based games. Fun combat styling, big and small, with a decent amount of variety. As always, though, I need to hear what YOU all think about them. What're your personal favorites, and why? Let me know in the comments!
