So, after dealing with another cluster of a boss fight, we then make it to another wide-open area with more side quests. Remember when I said this game didn’t really feel like it was ending anytime soon and that there was little too much fluff, I think this is a great example of that. We are literally inside the excavation site where the vault is in and there is this huge rush to beat Lilith and Roland to the vault, yet we are taking our time by helping out some Claptrap unit make putti (don’t get me started with this mission, I didn’t understand how to do this one for quite some time so just bear with me and, when I do figure it out, it was not easy). I think what bothers me the most of finding all these side mission now is that none of them feel relevant to the Final mission nor add anything about the area that they are in. Not to mention, one of the side quests actually makes you leave the area to talk with someone in Sanctuary to then return and finish the game (I guess you are supposed to return there at the end of the game but, they give you a fast travel machine in the final area of the game to allow you to complete it before the end). It takes away from the overall intensity and feeling of urgency they tried to have at the end of the game; I honestly thought there was going to be another couple more hours to this game, like there was going to be some twist when we arrive at the vault that would prolong the game.
