Bot Vice is a Arcade shooter. You could even call it a stationary railshooter or danmaku. Stationary in Quotationmarks, since you can move, but only from left to right. Since you still would get hit, you also got a long dodgeroll, that makes you invincible for the roll duration.
Goal of the Game is to shoot the enemies and to not get hit. If you get hit, you lose one of your 4 Hearts and if all Hearts are gone, you die. This restarts the stage, there is no life system.
To make the shooting easier, you can also pick up weaon and switch to them. Your regular weapon got unlimited ammo, the bonus weapon don't. So there is always the question, should i use the weapons now or should i safe it for the bosses.
At the End of each stage, you have to face a tough boss. They are specially tough, if you only got your regular weapon.

Overall the game is difficult, but it's a nice difficulty.
