Project Absentia is a First Person Shooter made in GZDoom. It looks rather harmless but your protagonist got a pretty foul language and the enemies explode in splatters. So if you're too young, you shouldn't watch the video or get the Game.
But aside the described things, the game is still pretty colorful and harmless.
The nice thing is, that the things the characters say are usually some references to films or games. It's neat to hear, but for those who doesn't recognise them, these are skill cool oneliners. Like all oneliners they doesn't always make sense. So the voiceacting is really good. the music in a way too, but it's a bit too repetitive for me.
The Arsenal on Weapons are over the top. Your regular weapon is a Tommy Gun and the second one is already the Rocket Launcher/Grenade Launcher. You also get elemental weapons to freeze or shock the enemies.
The Videosequences between the levels got this MS Paint drawing charm. It's funny, that the character models look sharper than they do in those drawings. This isn't a bad thing, since they took the time to make these. They could've also let them be spoken in the middle of the gameplay.
At the moment the Game is still in early access and can be beaten in about three hours. At the time of this recording, there where already news, that they plan to realse Episode 2 at the 2nd Quartal of 2024. This of cours depends on your skill and the chosen skill level. So you can repeat the game on a higher difficulty setting, if you like to have a more challenging experience.
More unique to this game is the way how jumping works. You can do your regular tap the spacebar jump. Which is still a little floaty. Or you can Tap and hold the Spacebar to do a high jump and if you continue holding it while falling, you also float down. Your hero got wings and knows how to use them.
