We're back...and this time we're playing as a character I NEVER thought I'd like as much as I do. Bowser used to be considered one of the WORST characters in Smash Bros. however things started to look up for him in Smash 4. Standing more upright, moving faster, and packing some super armor made him a contender...and Ultimate just took all that and ran with it. I don't "main" anyone, but if I did, I think Bowser would be one of them.

Just a quick FYI here...all of these Links are different people. No one wanted to rematch me... So as much as this might look like a curbstomp of a single person, it's not.

Match 1: Dream Land N64 (Battlefield)
Bowser (me) vs. Link (Lucca)

Especially considering this has me lose! Spoilers! Lucca was probably the best Link I played at that time, and while things seemed even at first, once he got the stock lead I didn't stand a chance. Had good spacing and got me right where he wanted me for a nasty side-smash attack.

Match 2: Midgar (Battlefield)
Bowser (me) vs. Link (JVictory)

This one...went a lot more in my favor, if that thumbnail didn't give that away. JVictory's first death was kinda weird though... Sure, he hit me with that boomerang...but at what cost?!

Match 3: Wuhu Island (Battlefield)
Bowser (me) vs. Link (Llama)

Llama fared a lot better here...and it taught me that in general Link's Up Air beats my Down Air any day! Once I pop him up and he does his Spin Attack though, he's pretty vulnerable.

Match 4: Duck Hunt (Battlefield)
Bowser (me) vs. Young Link (Matteo)

Our last match here has...a pretty tough match-up for Matteo honestly. Young Link is far and away the weakest Link in terms of killing power, though makes up for it in speed and combo ability. However, when it's already hard to kill with him and you have him fight the heaviest character in the game...the end result is it takes him getting me to around 200% damage before he even has a shot of killing me, whereas Bowser barely needs him around half that for a quick kill. He fought well though.

I really...really like how Bowser feels in this game. Fast enough to be dangerous but not outrageously so, with good damage and range to boot. I kinda want to go on another hot streak with him sometime soon, but variety is the spice of life and I'll still give everyone else a fair shake.
