Hazards off was a mistake
Ok, so here's a fun bonus video that didn't really gel with any of my other replays. I decided to try some Quickplay matches with my rules set to stages with hazards turned off...and this was my result. Never again.
In one corner, there's my using the Ice Climbers, probably my worst character. In the other is one "Cole," using Dark Samus. We're playing on Mario Bros, a stage seen in Brawl and never again. In normal play, this stage's unorthodox design means KO's at the sides are quite difficult, as the walls will negate a lot of the knockback. The same can be said for KO's from the top to a lesser degree. The goal here then is to use the enemies that spawn in as items. Tossing them at foes does absurd knockback, enough to KO from the sides in most cases. It's a stage explicitly designed around its hazard. So what happens when you turn those hazards off?
You get this nightmare.
Never ask Sakurai for anything ever again.
