Breaking The Fourth Wall in a 2D Action Platformer | Morkull Ragast's Rage demo
2Hello everyone! Here we are with another demo that was part from the Steam Next Festival. This is Morkull Ragast's Rage, a hand-drawn 2D action platformer (apparently, not a metroidvania), where you play as the bad guy, who is constantly breaking the fourth wall and talking to the players, who is helping him to commit his evil deeds (otherwise he will kill kitties :c). Art and animations were nice enough, and the parry felt great, but most of the gameplay felt slightly lower-paced than how I think it should be. There is a pause by the end of almost every combo, so you can't really chain actions (same with dash), causing that most of the fights weren't as fun as they should be (some of them too easy, and then the boss I had to play it safe).
