A Difficult Hand-drawn Metroidvania | Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster demo
6Hello everyone! Another demo here. This is Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster a hand-drawn 2D metroidvania with difficult combat and platforming. I would not call it a soulslike, although I see the soulslike tag, maybe because of the mana/stamina system and there is a block but didn't try it in short range to check for parry. Gameplay was fun and challenging, althought I didn't see any particular highlight. I am still not sure how I feel about the healing potions not refilling, which is balanced with not losing anything on death... I feel like a lot of people wouldn't like that. Also, I think the variety of potions is pretty interesting, but some of them are quite underwhelming, considering they are 1 use only and pretty expensive too.
