Experiences merging fantasy and reality can either create great alternate realities or fail spectacularly. In this meeting we chat to some creators experimenting in the fields of merging the real world with interactive gaming experiences via augmented reality and locative storytelling. Emily Craven and Tyronne Curtis are creators The Thing in the Wall, an AR experience for kids that merges location with story. Created via Unity the creators will take you through their concept and development processes as well as introduce you to other projects they’re spearheading such as the AR Monster Zoo experience and Story City real-life choose-your-adventure app.

This was a presentation for Brisbane Unity Developers, a user group for game developers in Brisbane who use the Unity3d platform, or are interested in learning more about it.
