Markets ended close to a high point with Nifty closing at over 15800, while Sensex gained 300 points. Broader markets outperformed with a gain of 0.7% and Bank Nifty jumped 400 points crossing the 33900 mark. FMCG stocks took leadership with ITC hitting 3 years high and HUL, Britannia, GCPL gained between 2-5%. Metals cracked with Tata Steel, JSW Steel declining 2-5% while ONGC continued its downward spiral ending 4% lower.
