4Broken Sword Shadow Of The Templars Reforged (2024) by Revolution Software is one of the best and most important point-and-clicks for the genre. The story depicts the actions of George Stobbart American, who quite accidentally during a vacation in France becomes embroiled in intrigue, the rise of the modern order of the Knights Templar. In this expedition he will be accompanied by a beautiful reporter Nico Collard, who was to meet with a certain individual Plantard, who has information about a string of murders, associated with the same person in different disguises. Before the meeting can take place, Plantard is killed in a bombing organized by a seemingly innocent clown in a small cafe in Paris. This event links the fates of the two protagonists before them, an intrigue beyond their wildest expectations. The game is a classic point and click, which does not introduce any new mechanics to the genre, but it has a very engaging storyline, characters whose fate we will not be indifferent to and, of course, refreshed graphics, which, to be honest, in relation to the original looks gorgeous. Improved graphics, as far as I know, have been created by adapted mainly for this AI, because manual work on it would take a lot of time and money, which, however, the creators did not have enough to afford such a move. I personally have no objection to this, as the game now looks simply sensational and beyond its time. It's nice that new generations will be able to enjoy this fascinating story. Especially since these days graphics play a big role in enticing a potential customer to buy a particular game. I hope that the game will once again succeed and revitalize to some extent the already slowly forgotten genre of interactive stories. Highly recommended classic now even more beautiful.
