Final Fight 3 (Snes) CO-OP Playthrough / Finally a good sequel.....just a shame it arrived so late!
Final Fight 3 (1995) by Capcom is what the second part should already be, that is, a continuation that innovates the already outdated gameplay standards. Well, but it's a shame that it came out so late.... when almost no one had a chance to play it. When Final Fight saw the light of day, the game market was already booming with 3D technology, thanks to the first Playstation and Sega Saturn. Because of this fact few people really remember this game at all, as 16bit consoles have already been retired. But you have to admit that it is (! Finally!) a successful sequel, although already outdated at the time of release. And it's not about the fact that the new generation of consoles was dominant at the time, but that Street of Rage 3, for example, had already done exactly the same, only better in every way, almost two years earlier. Sad that the strongest link of such a legendary title was in fact its very beginning and not its evolutions. Returning to the game, it is a really pleasant beat'em'up, which with its gameplay no longer bores like its predecessor. We finally have an expanded range of moves with the ability to run and launch additional attacks after making the right combination of directions with the attack buttons, as well as special attacks, which can be performed when we fill up the Super sign at the bottom of the screen. I'll honestly admit that we didn't know how to perform them.... and when we did manage to perform them, it was only accidentally during our gameplay :D . The plot I will try to present briefly...... previous gang collapsed and another one taking the opportunity starts to take over Metro City again causing riots. Mayor Haggar seeing this gathers Guy and two new heroes in the form of Lucia and Dean who have their own reasons to remove the new gang from the surface of Metro City. The game looks nice, thanks to the large detailed character sprites and the nice doldrums in which we will cover crime. The sound effects are fine but the soundtrack ....... how would you say..... is repetitive to the point of pain and by far the worst in terms of variety in the trilogy. I got the impression that the tracks are very similar to each other in terms of their composition and overall tone. I don't know maybe it's just me, but that's the impression I got while playing this game. As for my impressions, for me it is a successful sequel and definitely the second best part of the series. I recommend playing it, but there are better titles to catch up with the genre than this one.
