Bug! (Saturn)
3Yet another unfulfilling Saturn launch title.
I'd be lying if I said Bug! had a lot going for it back during hype build up. It has an unoriginal story, boring character and level design and arguably one of the lamest protagonists I've ever seen (yes, even more so than Bubsy the Bobcat and Awesome Possum.
My problem with Bug! is that while I like the idea of it as a 2.5D platformer, the camera is absolutely awful in conveying this idea and you'll often find yourself puzzled as to where the platforms are and what jumps to take simply because you can not see where you are going. There isn't even a little map or radar to help you out with this.
Combine the crappy camera with Bug!'s rivetingly slow gameplay, lack of innovation, arguably average visual presentation, bland designs, and hey presto! You get a bad game.
