In this episode of Factorio I build out the start of my main bus. A main bus is a series of belt arrays which carry the core base materials (copper plate, iron plate, steel plate, electronic circuit etc) in a long assembly line. Branching off these main lines are where the actual production occurs. I build out my red and green science off this main bus as well as microchips, pipes, and later other things like ammo etc.

The main bus keeps everything neat and tidy and organized. It can be large though so requires defense around a larger area. I think the trade-off is worth it. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the main bus design.
