Cable Explained: Before You See Deadpool 2
482Fox’s ‘Deadpool 2’ arrives in theaters this weekend. The film is directed by John Wick co-director David Leitch. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, T.J. Miller, Terry Crews, Bill Skarsgard and Rob Delaney. It’s a sequel to the 2016 original that shocked the film world in terms of quality and box office numbers. The film focuses on foul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (AKA. Deadpool) who brings together a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy of supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling mutant, Cable.
One of the main new characters in the film is Cable played by Josh Brolin. John Rocha pored over numerous comic books, reams of online research and untangled the Christmas lights that is the Summers family tree to bring you an Everything You Need to Know About Cable But Were Afraid to Ask primer. He clues you into the origins of Cable, why he’s such an important figure in the Marvel Universe and what he has to do with the X-Force. It’s an informative video that might provide some insight into Cable before you walk into the theater to see Brolin bring him to life in Deadpool 2.
