Despite being released over a decade ago, both games hold up extremely well. This is thanks to excellent A.I., how the A.I. spawns in along with randomizes, and online cooperative implementation. It's one you can easily jump into whether you play with friends, random players or the friendly A.I. If you're buying just one pick up Left4Dead2 as it has the original Left4Dead's levels with the former's mechanics, but they are each just ten dollars. Hope that Back4Blood is a worthy spiritual successor coming out this summer!
