It has been confirmed the town of Carterton will not take on Wootton Basset's role as a focal point for military repatriations. Repatriation flights will move to RAF Brize Norton in September and a new repatriation centre is currently being built there. A new route for people wishing to pay respects will skirt around the edge of the town in Oxfordshire.
