Army caterer Sergeant Shane Briggs has been teachings troops at Paderborn how to avoid falling victim to food poisoning when they next deploy to Afghanistan. With military chefs not expected to work beyond Forward Operating Bases, soldiers at remoter outposts have to prepare their own meals. On previous tours, too many have gone down with stomach bugs or been injured in cooking accidents. So, for the first time 5 Rifles have added field catering to their pre-deployment training.
