Castlevania: LoS - leftover glitches compilation pt. 1
4I'll have to return to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow properly at some point, but until then, here's a compilation of some old and some new clips.
I: it turns out Ultimate Light has another snazzy property, and it is that Gabriel floats over poisonous swamps while in the mode. This should save time somewhere, and should be a pretty interesting asset in the Titan Graveyard level as well. In this clip I just explore a poisonous fog dead end using the trick.
II: in the level 2-1, going by the right path takes you to this tree you are supposed to collapse. You can break out of its prompt using Holy Cross. Camera angle changes, and it looks like something is about to happen... The tree doesn't actually fall over this way, it just starts shaking ominously and makes crackling noises all by itself. Once you glitch the prompt, it becomes unuseable. Fortunately you can always just double jump to the other side once you're done messing with it.
III: this is something pretty interesting. Using a grapple point after using Somersault in a certain way can give your grappling a strange momentum to a direction. Gabriel even sinks inside walls momentarily, but you are always just reeled back out. It remains to be seen if you can do anything interesting with this trick.
IV: finally, a clip that shows what it looks like if you enter a cutscene while the death flickering is there.
