Achievement: Golden Loot
Description: Have 8000 coins in a single run with solo Nocturna (DLC Required)

So... Golden Loot! =)

8000 gold might seem like a lot, but the fact that Nocturna can always get the Crown of Greed on 1-1 (1 bomb to aggro the shopkeeper, then just keep attacking with the cutlass while the parry keeps you safe!)... is definitely an advantage. =) The Crown of Greed doubles all gold you pick up (but you lose 1 gold on every beat). I'm not sure if the Crown is necessary to get to 8000... but it definitely makes it a lot easier!

So a basic but reliable strategy for "Golden Loot" is:
1) Get the Crown of Greed on 1-1.
2) Defeat all/most of the enemies on every level & try to make sure your coin multiplier is at max when you defeat the mini-bosses.
3) Try to make sure your coin multiplier is at max when you defeat the bosses.

And basically, that's it! If your coin multipler is at max for the bosses and mini-bosses, the gold you get just from them will get you most (or possibly all) of the way to 8000 (I think I got around 7300 in this run, despite the Ring of Peace and a couple non-max multipliers)... so if you're also clearing the levels of other enemies, you'll probably hit 8000 before the final bosses (4-3 in this run), and end up with well over 8000 by the end!

To speed things up, you can use other gold tricks (shop walls, Boss Shrine, etc), but as this run should show (I think the only "extra" trick I did was getting some extra gold from the Leprechaun), it's certainly possible to get 8000+ without them! ^^
