Cavalcadence plays Story Mode - Part 3: Aria
For anybody who's interested in custom Cadences (or other characters), the official NecroDancer FAQ has some info about creating custom characters, and even has a link to the pinned thread on the official forums, where people have posted some of their custom creations:

So... a little while ago, as a little break from Cadence Low Percent attempts, I thought I'd try out NecroDancer's "Story Mode"... which perhaps should've been called something slightly different, since calling it "Story Mode" does kind of make it sound like that's the mode you're "supposed to" play (in most games, that's basically what "Story Mode" is). ^^;;
In NecroDancer, though, Story Mode (which can be found in the "Character Select" room) is actually more like a challenge mode... where you're challenged to play through Cadence All Zones, Melody All Zones, and Aria All Zones (i.e. the three characters that tell the main NecroDancer story)... in that order, in one run, without dying (so if Aria dies, you have to start completely over, starting with Cadence). So it's basically a "play through the complete story without dying" challenge mode. ^^;
Anyway, it took quite a number of tries, but I did finally manage to complete Story Mode. =) When playing Story Mode, I seemed to get the best results when I stuck with a "slow and steady" strategy... and in this run, that's basically what I did. =)
So here it is... my first ever Story Mode win! This video covers the third and final part (Aria!)... hope you enjoy!
The mini-bosses and bosses Aria encountered during this run were:
Zone 4: Blood Nightmare, Blue Dragon, Blood Nightmare, and Coral Riff 4 (Aria version).
Zone 3: Gray Direbat, Blood Nightmare, Blue Dragon, and Deep Blues 3 (Aria version).
Zone 2: Banshee, Nightmare, Banshee, and King Conga 2 (Aria version).
Zone 1: Minotaur, Direbat, Gray Minotaur, and The Golden Lute.

1:04 Leprechaun! Just for fun (and practice), I thought I'd try to get the Leprechaun stuck on the bounce trap. =)

30:50 As it turns out, I ended up earning last place (literally the very last entry!) in the Story Mode Speedrun leaderboard. =) So using a "slow and steady" strategy did get me to the end of the race... but it obviously isn't a very good strategy for Speedrunning. ;) On the plus side, I did end up higher up than I thought I would be in the Story Mode Score leaderboard. =)
