Welcome to Captain Chang Plays (CCP) Cold Waters. We are playing the 1984 Soviet Campaign at reduced difficulty.

------
13-NOV-1984 Middle of Norwegian Sea
Our current orders are to free roam... hit priority targets, preferably convoys.
We went back to Murmansk to fill up on torpedoes.
14-NOV-1984 Barents Sea
We're about to enter the Norwegian sea when encountered a submarine contact. We turned away to evade, and we made a right turn, only to realize a torpedo ALMOST acquired us, fired by our pursuer.
We disengaged by running away.
We continued toward Bergen, as NATO mounted an amphib op and managed to retake Bergen.
20-NOV-1984 Near Bergen, Norway
We chose to take our chances in the North Atlantic, and transited through the GIUK gap.
We patroled the shipping lanes, but there was nothing.
30-NOV-1984 North Atlantic
After ten days of free roam failure, we received a recall message. We are being reassigned.
We must reach Narvik and block NATO submarine from landing commandos near Narvik.
We evaded an ASW patrol at the GIUK gap.
01-DEC-1984 Near Narvik, Norway
We arrived at our patrol area and we settled to wait.
04-DEC-1984 Near Narvik, Norway
A submerged contact to the north was detected and we intercepted it.
We encountered an Oberon in relatively shallow waters. We sank it.
HQ was pleased, and told us to patrol the Eastern Norwegian sea for a NATO replenishment convoy, departing from Bergen.
As Bergen is closer to us, we went south, and soon detected the convoy.
The convoy turned out to be a Perry-class frigate and an oiler. I sank the oiler with a long-range torpedo, leaving the frigate to head home in shame.
And the war continues in the next episode.
