Welcome to Captain Chang Plays... Starfleet Command, Klingon Campaign!

We are in command of a Klingon Light Cruiser D5, IKV Ransacker

Our next mission is for the Black Fleet

A Hole in Time and Space Pt 1

KDF has detected wormholes that had opened up into the deep interior of both Hydran and Lyran space, and we will take full advantage of it. Go through, and you should detect two vessels. Kill one, capture the other, and return to the wormhole.

Lyrans use disruptors like the Klingons, but they also use a weapon called "Expanding Sphere Generator" or ESG. It generates a solid force field that can be used to block shuttles and missiles, and if used properly, can be used for ramming as well, where it damages shields (or hull, if there is no shield).

We dropped out of the wormhole, and went to red alert. There are indeed two Lyran cruisers of similar size to us in the system. One is behind a planet. We turned and headed for the other one, armed tractors, and went at medium speed. Had to use all of my marines to capture it, but it was done. We were damaged, but nothing the engineer couldn't handle.

We turned toward the other vessel, which had made its way around the planet. This one, we plan to destroy, so I armed tractor beam and dropped a scatter pack before I reached point-blank. I should have slowed down to allow the drone to catch it. And I ended up using BOTH scatter packs to kill this Lyran CL. We headed back to the wormhole and departed the scene.

HQ was pleased with our results. Though I do wonder why they need an intact Lyran ship...
