(CCPlays) Cold Waters Dot MOD | Can a Sturgeon-class Sub Complete the Udaloy Challenge?
0Welcome to Captain Chang Plays (CCP) Cold Waters w/ DotMod.
Today, we attempt the Udaloy challenge with a Sturgeon-class nuclear sub. Sturgeon-class is the successor to the ill-fated Permit-class, and was the predecessor to the famous Los Angeles-class. It is actually very quiet (for its time), and well-armed, but a bit on the slow side (only 26 kt submerged).
What is the Udaloy Challenge you ask? It's quite simple. You in a sub, against 10 Udaloy DDG set to aggressive. Kill all 10, suffer no damage, and you are one tough submariner. (at least Realistic difficulty)
You can easily test this yourself in the Mission Editor, only takes a minute to setup.
I'll just warn you... it can be quite difficult.
Are you up to the challenge?
Spoiler: I killed 9 out of 10, the 10th ran away, no damage to self. Was never even discovered or fired upon.
