CD Projekt can’t guarantee Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen versions will launch this year
CD Projekt has revealed it can’t guarantee the next-gen console versions of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ will be released this year.
The developer has spent much of this year patching the title after it had a rough launch and was removed from the PlayStation Store due to bugs.
And on Wednesday (01.09.21) when updating shareholders in its latest H1 2021 results call, Michał Nowakowski, CD Projekt’s SVP of business development, seemingly suggested that CD Projekt was taking this into consideration when thinking about the release schedule for the next-gen versions.
He said: “The target is to release the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 late this year.
“At the same time, keeping in mind the lessons we have learned during the past year and taking into account that this project still remains in development, we can’t say with full certainty that the production schedule will not change.”
