It's time to face the final challenge on the way to my goal of clearing everything in the Intermediate Lobby, and it sure is the toughest challenge yet.

Raspberry Roots seems to present a much more significant difficulty spike than Blueberry Bay did. Many rooms require stringing together considerably long chains of actions with few opportunities for rest. I have to wonder if this is going to be expected more regularly in the Advanced Lobby...

Quite a few rooms in the top 10 were extremely difficult. Supernautica had extremely annoying visual inaccessibility issues. In Filtration and Deep Blue were the most demanding rooms, to the point where I have no idea how I ended up surviving their final segments (after failing them numerous times before) - nor how they're meant to be survived consistently.

The thing I found most baffling is that the final couple of rooms felt decidedly easier than others in the top 10. Midnight Monsoon's room was challenging, but after the trouble that In Filtration and Deep Blue gave me, I was honestly expecting worse. The final room of Raspberry Roots even includes an implicit continue point, and that room was far easier than previous rooms to begin with.

Strawberry Jam has so many extremely cool level ideas, and I've enjoyed it a lot. But the ends of In Filtration and Deep Blue's appearances in Raspberry Roots gave me a distinct feeling of "I never want to have to do that again", which is certainly something that I've felt playing some games in the past, but not Celeste (well, aside from the final room of Farewell). This would seem to hint at SJ's level design beginning to surpass the threshold of what I'd consider reasonable. I will probably take a look at the Advanced Lobby eventually, but I have zero expectation of finishing it. (And I don't think I'll have any desire to look at any lobbies beyond that whatsoever, aside from the gyms perhaps just to see what's expected.)

That being said, I'll be taking a break from Celeste after this (after playing it for nearly 100 hours, between vanilla and SJ); I want to revisit a couple of classic 3D platformers during the month of October.
