I went to Hell and back again and all I got was this big freakin' gun...actually, that's probably a fair trade.

It's pretty impressive how much of the now-destroyed Argent Facility was included again the second time around for the return trip from Hell, again inviting a lot of extra exploration similar to the first time, with lots of new details to show how "well" things are going now that Olivia opened the portal.

Beyond that, we're clearly getting into late-game territory, as the Advanced Research Complex is home to everyone's favorite signature Doom weapon...
