Chaos Code...well, there is quite a bit I can say about this game. It is a game produced by FK Digital...most know of FK Digital back from doujin/indie game "Super Cosplay Wars Ultra", which was a lot of fun. They had the name Neo Team F.K. back when SCWU was made. The team may or may not consist of new people since then, but yeah...At any rate, a part of me is glad that FK was able to go "official" and make games for PSN and the like, as they worked tirelessly on SCWU years ago and I like to root for the underdog. Chaos Code is a fairly quality game...if it is balanced. The game was released in arcades and as far as I know, the arcade game was VERY BROKEN, with many infinite combos. As I try to do (it is a lot of FRIGGIN WORK!) videos showing all the characters, I saw the combo video for the arcade game and DID NOT EVEN TRY to duplicate those combos in my video; I simply showed some of what characters can do (some characters I cared less about, like Hermes) and did not try to aim for the biggest combos, as you will see. Instead, I tried doing combos using many of their moves together to show the possibilities, such as with Celia, doing a combo that incorporates her slow rocket projectile, along with a string of other intricate moves. There were instances where I could have repeated a high hitting move for the highest possible hit count, but opted to show different moves working in tandem...and that brings me to some good about Chaos Code.

The visuals are serviceable, though not groundbreaking, but infinites aside (It is said that many were "fixed" for the PS3 port...possibly "Sign of Catastrophe" too, though I haven't checked into that expansion), the thing I like about CC is that while the roster is relatively small (15 characters in this version), you can be creative in how you fight opponents because you can select 2 out of 4 extra commands for each character and that really diversifies the gameplay more than what it might seem on the surface level. That said, there are also plenty of combo demonstrations I did not show at all because I didn't use the different command combinations that you can choose from for all the characters. I don't remember paying too much for this game, but for what you get, I felt like I came out okay. The music is decent, with a couple of nice tracks, while the others work (not particularly striking, but they get the job done). You can unlock various content, like artworks and view endings and the like, which is also nice, in this DLC heavy world we live in and as a whole, the game is fun to play...provided you don't deal with infinite combos in versus mode. Seriously, some of them are stupid easy to do in the arcade version...I played Million Knights Vermillion and did about 70 hits with Virginia and have done other infinites myself...I am no slouch, but I feel that kills the fun of a game. High combos are great...infinites? Not so much. Infinites seem to be a heavy point of criticism for the arcade version of this game. Anyhoo, they are working on a sequel which shows some promise (returning characters seem to have REALLY nice animation improvements and some effects have more "wow", like Hermes' summon attacks).
