Characters that Fans brought back to Life! #transformers
Characters who Died, but were brought back to life through Fan Demand:
Starting off we have Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic Adventure 2. While it is still up for debate if he was officially dead after plummeting to earth after the final boss fight, but depending on how the fans perceived him, Sega may have kept him gone if he wasn’t popular. The fans of course really loved shadow and by Sonic Heroes, they had to include a storyline of Rouge finding him survive the fall.
Next is G1 Optimus Prime in the 1986 Transformers movie. Hasbro wanted to introduce a new toy line, so they killed off a lot of the original cast to promote the new characters/toys. They didn’t realize how much of an iconic character Optimus was, so many kids cried for weeks and left the theaters. Mothers and Parents wrote letters of complaint, so they brought Optimus Back in Season 3, Now Optimus Dying and coming back to life has been a bit of a trope since.
Moving on we have Vegeta, Toryiama actually wanted Vegeta to be permanently dead after Frieza Killed him the first time, Before Goku Turn’s Super Sayain, but due to Both Fans and at Toryiama’s Editors request, they brought Vegeta back since he was so popular.
Then there is Jason Voorhees, the was not in Friday the 13th Part 5, and this made many fans upset, so they literally titled the next movie: Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives. It’s hard to have a Firday the 13th movie without its most iconic Character.
Maybe you can include Brian Griffin, since there was a ton of fans complaining to bring him back, one guy even got a tattoo, but I think Family Guy already planned to bring him back regardless because he came back 3 episodes later, so in terms of production those episodes were completed around the same point before release.
And lastly Boba Fett: He was seemingly dead in Return of the Jedi when he fell into Sarlacc, and if he wasn’t so much of a popular character, I don’t think future Star Wars media would have rewritten that event to depict him surviving last minute.
