Sometimes... some crimes... are slipping through the cracks...
But this game... feels like... like it was made half-assed.

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers! Another great Disney Afternoon cartoon. Chip and Dale are two chipmunks who start a detective agency: the Rescue Rangers, along with their friends. The pint-sized detectives deal with crimes that are often "too small" for the police to handle, usually with other animals as their clients. The game follows the kidnapping of a little girl's missing kitten. Behind this is one of the principle antagonists of the series: 'Fatcat', who merely kidnaps the kitten as a distraction to then kidnap your friend and partner Gadget Hackwrench.

The game offers eleven levels, many of which can either be skipped or played in a non-linear order. You can play as either Chip or Dale, or both in a two player co-op. You defeat enemies by picking up small objects, like boxes or apples and throwing them. This gets a bit repetitive though and while the game is not without its simple charms, it does feel a bit incomplete compared to the 'Ducktales' NES game, which came out a year earlier in 1989.
