Chris Hemsworth is taking a break from acting
0After learning that he had a hereditary predisposition to developing Alzheimer's disease, Chris Hemsworth has decided to take a break from performing.
The "Thor" star learned about the information while filming the fifth episode of his Disney+ series "Limitless," in which he visits a doctor and learns he has a hereditary propensity for the condition that gradually robs people of their memory and other crucial mental abilities.
Because Hemsworth has two copies of the APOE4 gene in his DNA, he has an eight to ten times greater probability than the ordinary individual of acquiring the degenerative neurologic illness.
After finishing his press tour for the documentary series, he told Vanity Fair in a story that was published Thursday that he wants to take a break from his work after learning the news.
