Hey everybody and welcome back for more Chrono Trigger! We are starting this episode off by heading into the Factory to restore power to the door to the Time Gate we need to head through next so lets get going! The very first console that disables the laser blocking our path leads to a battle. Taking the right elevator first, grabbing some goodies and having to fight way more battles than what we are supposed to cause i fucked up okay! Eventually we make it to the crane room and move both of the barrels blocking our path out of the way. Now that we know the code for the final door lets head back up the elevator and down the one on the left. Down the hatch at the end of this path, we continue on for more fights and some good equips for Robo. Activating this computer disables the lasers blocking our path and more enemies fall down. Finally we reach the ZABIE input and get power back to the door blocking the Time Gate. As we leave the area, the R Series robots commence their attack and destroy Robo, so we have to drag him back to Lucca to fix. After some cutscenes we enter the Time Gate beyond the door and wind up at The End of TIme. Here we learn how to get back to our own time and learn magic from Spekkio! Neato! The Old Man is Gaspar the Guru of Time but we dont learn that till much later in the game. Anyway on with the plot we head to Medina Village in 1000 A.D. and meet up with our old pal Melchoir! He tells us to take the whirlpool at the end of the cave to the north to get back to Truce. Heading into the Heckran Cave all the enemies here are weak to magic, which is why we brought along Lucca and Marle and not Robo. Theres some goodies to grab along the way but the cave is pretty linear overall. Once we reach the boss, blast him with magic as long as he isnt defending and heal when needed and he will go down pretty easily. Jumping through the whirlpool we arrive near Lucca's house and grab a decent piece of gear for her from Taban. Next up we see Fritz at the general store and he thanks us with some free items. Nice! Next up its time to head to the Middle Ages through the Time Gate in Leene Square. At the Zenan Bridge we learn that they need supplies from the Castle so thats where we are headed next. Go right first and talk to the chef who will give us some Jerky to give to the guys on the bridge. The Knight Captain gives us a Gold Helm to wear in return for the Jerky. Nice! Ozzie and his minions plague this bridge so lets take them all out. When we reach the other side Ozzie summons Zombor to fight us. Yet another boss with elemental weaknesses but we should be okay with Robo for now. I believe the bottom is weak to lightning and the top to ice/water but dont quote me on that. Anyway moving on. Across the bridge is the town of Dorino and we meet Toma for the first time who is on a journey to find the Rainbow Shell which is a sidequest for later. If we speak to the old man in the residence here he will trade us the Naga-ette Bromide for a Magic Tab! In the Cursed Woods we meet up with Frog! We will be back here later when we have some more items. In the town of Porre, we will see Toma once again make sure you talk to him in both locations! Now we need to head to the Denadoro Mountains and trek all the way to the top fighting enemies along the way and grabbing all the goodies. Here we get our first glance of Tata the "hero" supposedly. When we reach the summit cave, the spirits of the sword Masamune want to fight us to prove we are worthy of wielding them. We receieve the broken Masamune and grab the Hero Medal from Tata. Another trip to Frog's house and we obtain the other part of the Masamune and find Melchoir's name on it. Interesting. Well i suppose all thats left is to go talk to him and find out what to do next. Apparently we need some Dreamstone to reforge the Masamune. It was once used long ago as money. To end the stream i just wanted to jokingly fight Lavos to see how far i could get into the fight before i died. Did decently well actually and got to spoil some bosses that are coming up. Anyway. Stay tuned next time to find the Dreamstone and repair the Masamune and find Magus in his lair!
