Chuckie Egg Longplay Part 1
6The first eight levels of Chuckie Egg, played on the BeebEm BBC Micro emulator. This classic game was a favourite of mine in high school, but I haven't played it much since. This longplay is an attempt to see how far I can get without save scumming (I will have to save between videos, but I won't go back to a previous save if I get a run of bad luck or make mistakes).
There are eight level layouts in the game, which repeat in a cycle with different gameplay on each pass, for a total of forty levels. On this first pass, you just have to avoid the hens, which move on the platforms in predictable patterns. Part of the skill in this game is working out how to use knowledge of the hens' patterns to help find efficient routes around the levels.
