In this video I outline 'Advanced Slash Movement'. It sounds like click-bait but it is the best way I can describe the topic.
In short; Slash has more sliding potential than many people realise. Toxjq and other pro players use these options regularly to great effect.
Full mastery would grant a substantial benefit, but would take a lot of time and effort - time which would be better spent on other critical areas of the game.
But taking it one slide at a time - and dedicated practice over a few days - would probably be the best action to take.
