CiB Let's Try - Nightshade (PS2)
Nightshade was released on February 10, 2004 as a Playstation 2 exclusive. It was developed by Sega AM1 / Sega Wow (essentially just Sega lol) and published by Sega. Can we just take one moment and process just how many Playstation 2 exclusive games there were? Unbelievable.
Nightshade is a pretty interesting game --- I think the gameplay style is exactly what we thought it would be, but the futuristic setting (with hints of Feudal Japan) threw us for a loop. This is one of the long line of PS2 games that ended up being a pretty solid game, but wasn't quite up to the top tier releases (in this case, Devil May Cry, or Ninja Gaiden on Xbox).
As Trevor mentioned, the fighting style takes a little bit to get used to, but we don't have a ton of time to play these games during Let's Tries, so it is mostly initial reactions. Regardless, if you're looking for an action game and you've already played Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden too much, Nightshade may scratch that itch! Thanks for watching.
