WTA Tour Tennis was released on September 27, 2001. It was developed and published by Konami (except Now Production developed the GBA version -- I am just now aware there is a GBA version of this game). It was released for the PS2, Gamecube, and GBA -- poor Xbox...

So in all seriousness, for being a decently early PS2 game, and being pretty darn niche, this game plays very, very well. Although we only played it for about 10 minutes, the physics is truly great for the time, although the AI doesn't seem too smart. My biggest complaint is that the modes seem very barren - it's tennis and tennis only. It's great to see an all women's game though - it reminds me of that women's volleyball game for PS2 that was developed/published by AgeTec, which was also pretty good. Thanks for watching!
