CiB Let's Try - Simpsons Road Rage (GameCube)
The Gamecube was a very unique system - we're taking a quick look at some of the games for the Cube that don't get as much notoriety as the big first-party titles.
The Simpsons Hit and Run was released in November 2001 for the PS2, Xbox, GBA, and GameCube. It was developed by Radical Entertainment (who also developed Simpsons Hit & Run, Prototype 1&2, and eventually worked on Destiny with Bungie). It was published by EA.
Simpsons Road Rage is a simplistic but charming Crazy Taxi clone - and a game that I am glad still holds up today. It's such a blast to drive through Springfield and see how the city is actually set up. The gameplay is arcade-y and quick, and there are a fair share of unlockables. The humor is great - the only negatives are that this is not a game you want to play for long lengths of time, and your driver tends to repeat the same phrases a bit too often. This one won't run you too much regardless of system, and this is a definite for any Simpsons fan - thanks for watching!
