CiB Let's Try - Sega Soccer Slam (Gamecube)
The Gamecube was a very unique system - we're taking a quick look at some of the games for the Cube that don't get as much notoriety as the big first-party titles.
Sega Soccer Slam was released in March 2002 for the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube. It was developed by Visual Concepts (which became EA BlackBox) - they also developed the Skate games, as well as Need For Speed Underground. It was published by Sega (whaaaat?)
This is a solid pick-up-and-play arcade style soccer game. It doesn't hit the highs of Mario Soccer for GameCube, but there are definitely a lot of worse choices for arcade-style sports games out there. The game controls well, and it's solid fun for what it is - the character designs are a little off-putting, however. It is lame that there are no Sega characters, however.
This game is relatively cheap on PS2 and Xbox, so we can recommend it if you're looking for a game like this. Thanks for watching!
