The Emperor's New Groove was released on the PS1 on November 13, 2000, making this a fairly late-release PS1 game. It also had versions released on PC and Game Boy Color. The PS1 version was developed by Argonaut Games, who are probably best known for developing StarFox (SNES) and Croc (PS1). This was published by good ol' Sony themselves, which is fairly surprising.

We've never seen The Emperor's New Groove movie (though I've heard it's pretty solid!), so a few of the jokes/references were lost on us. That being said, this is a pretty solid 3D platformer/collect-a-thon. It fits perfectly into the 'have you played Spyro/Crash/the other AAA platformers? Well, you can do a lot worse than this!'

And as we've seen through these Let's Try videos, you can do worse... a -lot- worse. Pretty solid game, maybe one you might want to check out! Thanks for watching!
