Playstation 1 is truly the 'Wild West' of video game systems. In the early days of 3D, it seemed like every developer tried to throw their hat into the massively popular PS1 ring and produced some of the most random, odd games of all-time. Recently, we sat down with a stack of PS1 games we never heard of, and the results are... unsurprising.

Star Soldier was released on October 31, 1996 as a Playstation console exclusive - a port from the arcades. It was developed and published by Capcom.

So first things first I apologize for our initial reaction to the game --- once we released it was released in 1996, and was more of a defensive style fighting game, our respect for it went way up. We've played so many 3D fighting games for PS1 Let's Try that they all blend in together and give us a moderate to negative initial reaction.

I'm glad that Trevor was able to get to the final boss! It's lame that there's no story at all, but it's an early PS1 game, so you do have to cut it some slack. There was a sequel released for the Dreamcast in 2000 called Plasma Sword --- maybe we'll play that someday on here! Thanks for watching!
