Cities Skylines 2 - 1.1.8F1 Patch
A new patch was released today, and I've only checked the issues with homelessness and performance so far.
When reducing the population from 450,000 to 100,000, it took some time for the speed to recover. While there has been significant improvement compared to before, full speed recovery has not yet been achieved. This seems to be due to the game spending unnecessary time processing homelessness and garbage data, which the city redevelopment wasn’t adequately prepared for.
Although the lag has decreased significantly compared to patch 7F1, there wasn’t much noticeable improvement in cities with a population of 450,000. The game still runs slowly, and the progress keeps stalling due to insufficient computational capacity.
While the improvements in patch 7F1 were impressive enough to make it seem like the game could surpass Cities 1, this shows that without addressing the fundamental issues in game optimization, it might be difficult to exceed Cities 1. However, patch 7F1 was promising enough that I have high expectations for this 8F1 patch and the upcoming updates.
