Cities Skylines 2 - Big Updates & Mod HACKED
548Cities Skylines 2 experienced a security breach, where an outside actor was able to use infiltrate PDX mods, specificly the "traffic" mod spread a .dll file to those with the mod. The file is believed to be malicious. In what was surely meant to be a celebratory time for Cities Skylines 2, with a patch update and the release of the first Creator Pack (French inspirited buildings), this will surely sour the mood.
The breach occurred on Monday 28 October 2024, and is currently believed to have spread due to an outside actor who uploaded a file(s) to the "traffic" mod on Cities 2. Players are advised to let the mod sync as usual if you have it as the malicious update has been removed. Players who used the mod between now and Monday should follow the instructions below. All other players should be unaffected, though they are still trying to figure out the files exact intent.
