Cities: Skylines — part 67 — Even More Traffic Fixes
The title says about traffic fixes, but we actually start with a bit more interesting thing — taking care of the zoo and its aquatic inhabitants.
We got a couple more enclosures, but one of them requires a shore. The best way to provide it with a shore? Bring the shore closer to the zoo, of course! A bit of terraforming here, a water outlet there, a canal somewhere else, and soon enough our zoo gets access to its very own artificial lake where all the dolphins, seals, and what not can swim around merrily.
It's connected directly to the river? Oh shush, I'm sure it will never cause any issues.
Next comes the less-fun part: fixing traffic. Belmont district still doesn't have a good connection to the highway, but hopefully we can help solve that issue with a semi-T-junction. and a road upgrade, because having two lanes in each direction merge into one lane in each was never a good idea.
That's not enough, of course, because as it often is the case, fixing one intersection only reveals issues in other ones. TM:PE to the rescue! With more proper lane switching, couple more road upgrades, pedestrian walkways, and a bit of de-zoning, traffic should find a way eventually.
Lastly, there's also the local commercial zone, which seems to be drawing a lot of people in. It has only one entry point, and that's the reason behind a lot of the traffic, it would seem. Connecting it in another spot should help even further.

Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience. You’re only limited by your imagination, so take control and reach for the sky!
*Multi-tiered and challenging simulation*
Constructing your city from the ground up is easy to learn, but hard to master. Playing as the mayor of your city you’ll be faced with balancing essential requirements such as education, water electricity, police, fire fighting, healthcare and much more along with your city's real economy system. Citizens within your city react fluidly, with gravitas and with an air of authenticity to a multitude of game play scenarios.
*Extensive local traffic simulation*
Colossal Order's extensive experience developing the Cities in Motion series is fully utilized in a fully fleshed out and well-crafted local traffic simulation.
*Districts and Policies*
Be more than just an administrator from city hall. Designating parts of your city as a district results in the application of policies which results in you rising to the status of Mayor for your own city.
*Utilize the Day and Night Cycle*
The city changes during the hours of the day and affects citizen schedules. Traffic is visibly slower at night and some zoned areas do not work with full efficiency. Cities: Skylines will put you in control of managing the different aspects of the day and night cycles.
*Extensive modding support*
Build or improve on existing maps and structures. You can then import your creations into the game, share them as well as download the creations of other city builders on the Steam workshop.
