CLOSE ENOUGH to the Konami Code? - Retrogaming Easter Eggs
1,134Here are three NES games that feature level select codes that are VERY SIMILAR to the Konami Code, but like... aren't!
In Astyanax for the NES, press Up, Down, Left, Right, B, B, B, B, START on the title screen to go straight to the Level Select screen.
In Hudson's Adventure Island III on NES tap Down, Up, Left, Right, B, A, B, A to go to the Stage Select.
In Shinobi for the NES (which I did not realize existed until today) hit Down, Down, Left, Right, Up, Up, Start on the title screen to jump to a very bare-bones level select screen!
As we all know, the Konami Code is Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. These codes are all very similar to the Konami Code, but not quite the same. I dunno, I thought it was neat enough to make a short video out of it!
