Clue (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
517A playthrough of Parker Brothers' 1992 boardgame adaptation for the Super Nintendo, Clue.

Sculptured Software and Parker Brothers were an awesome team for Nintendo systems - though together the pair only did two different boardgames in video game form on Nintendo systems, both Monopoly and Clue are rightfully held in high regard as stand out, classic multiplayer games.
Just like the Monopoly titles, Clue really manages to snazz things up with the window-dressing. The standard board looks good, but the really cool parts are the cinema scenes that play when you suggest, question, or accuse. The clues are provided by the text, so these scenes are mere eye-candy, but they do a remarkable job at holding a mood. The animations look cool, the music (little though there may be) is a good match for it, and it's cool to have all the characters come alive as participants in the murder mystery. With this game, no longer did you have to merely imagine the people based on one picture and a short description. It sounds like such a small thing now, but giving them personalities made Clue even better than the original board game.
It's fun - and necessary - to keep track of clues on the log sheet that's provided (photocopy it before you use it!), and the game certainly forces you too pay close attention at the higher levels.
Much flashier Clue games laden with FMV and first-person exploration came out later on (the 90s PC and Cd-i games were amazing!), but this SNES charmer is a total win, especially with a few friends.
