So if you are thinking Python is for kids than you are wrong because Python programming language is not only most easiest to learn which is kids friendly programming language But aslo for adults.
Here is why Python for Web and Python for Data is being use now a days.
Python is very easy to learn and you can build a game in Python with in a Week. Also if you are a Data Analyst than become a Python Data Analayst is the best job you can get due to low learning curve of Python programing.
If you are willing to learn Python coding than I will say take a look at Udacity Intro to Programming Nanodegree which i had and will give a good introdution to Python.
I will say best way to learn Python coding is by Nanodegree and by Head First Python Programming Book.
So if you are think to use Python in the Web than Python is not a native web programming lanagauge so you need to use one the Python framework.
So now for the main question how long is will take to learn Python pgramming language and it will take 7 Days to learn basic Python if you spend 4 hours a day daily than total around 28 hours.
I will say keep 30 hours goal to learn Python and start building Python Web Apps or Python Games.
Now for Python Game Programming, You can build 2D Games in Python very easily and Python Game Development is rising but not as Popular as JavaScript Game Development. At the end the major drawback of becoming a Python Developer or using Python programming is the intendation which the Python code will not work if you did not intend it right compare to others programming langauges such as PHP where is doesn't matter at all.
