MOUSE INFESTED COMMODORE PET IEEE 4040 DUAL DISK DRIVE OPENED UP! As I continue to test the 2040 to find the elusive bad chip, it was time to open up another 4040 that I had discovered in the midst of my anguish over this dying unit.

Yes, it is time to dig into the infestation and see if the drive in fact, does work!

I continue to modify the testing program to make it more useful and friendly...these computers are here to help us! So, it is time to let this 8296 help me sort all of this out as it silently carries on, but is ready to cry out via chr$(7) if an error does occur!

As always, be careful removing chips from sockets! Make sure the power is off! And that you bring an abundance of patience!

So, the testing continues, and yes, we shall see what resides inside the rat infested disk drive!
