Continuing my refurbishment of this NTSC VIC-20 ... this is just what I do ... read the comments for everything I did wrong ... 😇

00:25 ... scrub a dub
11:03 ... keyboard strip
15:30 ... comparing different VIC key types
19:30 ... re-attaching keyboard to top case
20:43 ... close-up of cleaned board
22:00 ... quick summary of changes so far
22:35 ... re-furbish power switch
26:35 ... power-on test
27:30 ... re-attaching rectifier heat sink

Gave the motherboard, case and keyboard a satisfying wash.

Replaced the electrolytic capacitors ... including the leaking 4700µF one, obviously ... plus the LM323 linear regulator with a switching version from www.ezsbc.com

Also dismantled the power switch and gave it a clean.

Put some heat sinks on and verified the machine was now working better than before - no obvious rainbow effects when the machine was bumped.

Just a few minor things left to do.
