A quick first look at the Casio PB-770 pocket computer with FA-11 dock.

Everything seems to work okay. The PB-770 needs its own 4xAA batteries to power on, and also takes a CR1220 backup battery. It wouldn't power on when only the AC adaptor was connected to the FA-11 dock ... want to check that.

It has 16KB of RAM - 8KB internal plus an additional OR-8 RAM module. It can have up to 32KB if three OR-8s are installed.

The FA-11 dock has an internal NiCd battery that seems to hold some charge still after all of these years.

I didn't have any luck loading any software from the included tapes, but will try again.

The plotter seems to also work - not sure about the pens (so ... aren't they kind-of critical for the plotter to work?). And the paper is still available ... 114mm (4½") wide bond (not thermal).
