Lads and Ladettes, it's been too long since we played any Guitar Hero games - so let's get REALLY nostalgic here, and go back to the original Guitar Hero game. I didn't realize it until right now, but Guitar Hero actually just had its 15 year anniversary - first released November 8th, 2005.

As we mention in the video, the original Guitar Hero game was very bare-bones compared to what we ended up getting down the line. Hammer-ons exist, but they are extremely complicated to get to work - essentially you have to hold down all the previous buttons to hit the hammer on notes. It... doesn't work, so most people just strum everything.

There is also no hyperspeed, which a lot of people use in Guitar Hero, nor is there a practice mode --- so, you can't retry difficult sections over and over again. This makes Guitar Hero 1 to probably be the hardest Guitar Hero game. Even though literally every Guitar Hero game after this features harder -songs- there is no game where it's more impressive to get FC (full combos, aka not missing once) on. Enjoy the clacking!
